Relationships are meant to be reciprocal—but sometimes, you find yourself giving more than you get. Maybe you’re the one who always texts first, offers emotional support, or makes the effort to keep the connection alive. Over time, this imbalance can leave you feeling lonely, unappreciated, or resentful.

One-sided relationships don’t always start that way. They can slowly shift, especially when boundaries aren’t clearly defined or needs go unspoken. You might fear that speaking up will create conflict—or lead to rejection.

In therapy, we help you explore these patterns. Are you overextending yourself out of fear, obligation, or habit? Are you tolerating neglect because you believe you have to? We work on recognizing healthy relationship dynamics and learning to assert your needs without guilt.

Sometimes, that leads to healing and reconnection. Other times, it means grieving what won’t change and making space for more mutual connections. Either way, you’re allowed to want relationships where you feel seen, valued, and supported.
