Anxiety has a way of turning one thought into a whole marching band. It can take a small concern and hand it a microphone.
But God does not shame us when we feel anxious. He invites us to bring our worries to Him. Prayer is not pretending we are calm. Prayer is bringing our real fear into the presence of a real Father.
The peace of God does not always mean every problem disappears immediately. Sometimes it means your heart becomes guarded while the situation is still unfolding.
God’s peace is not fragile. It can hold you in the middle of uncertainty, steady you in the waiting, and remind you that you are not carrying life alone.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer… let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6
