Grief is Love with Tears

Jesus knew resurrection was coming, and He still wept. Grief is not weakness. It is love with tears. God meets us there.

Grief is not something to rush, fix, or spiritualize away.

Jesus stood at the tomb of Lazarus knowing resurrection was coming, and He still wept. That matters. He did not shame grief. He entered it.

A biblical view of mental health makes room for sorrow. Faith does not erase sadness. Hope does not mean we stop missing what was lost.

Grief can affect the body, mind, emotions, relationships, and even our sense of God’s nearness. That does not mean something is wrong with you. It means loss is real.

The Psalms give us language for pain. They teach us that lament is not unbelief. Lament is prayer from the valley.

Healing does not mean forgetting. Sometimes healing means learning how to carry love and loss with God beside us.
