Forgiveness Is Freedom

Forgiveness is not pretending the wound did not happen. It is not saying evil was acceptable. It is not always reconciliation or restored trust.

Forgiveness is releasing the right to become chained to bitterness. It is placing justice into the hands of the only One wise enough to hold it rightly.

This does not make forgiveness easy. Sometimes forgiveness is a decision made through tears, repeated over time. But God meets us there. He knows the weight of betrayal. He knows the cost of mercy.

Because we have been forgiven in Christ, we are invited into a freedom that bitterness can never give.
